This bass has an interesting story! 

It started as a $125 purchase off eBay, an interesting looking bass, which I bought in order to upgrade.  Well, the bass arrived and it was more than interesting looking it was downright awful, so I set about a major upgrade.

The upgrade included a new body, a new neck, new Hipshot hardware and EMG electronics. 

At the end of the day the only piece of the original bass that remain is the string retaining ‘button’ on the headstock!

As this was my first ‘build from parts’ bass is seemed appropriate that DaveBass #1 was born.  The bass now plays and sounds fantastic.  It’s amazing what $500 and about 5 hrs of labor can achieve!
